Abby's card

Abby made Brian a card for his birthday last week and I've been meaning to post it on here to share with you all.

She stamped and colored the image, cut the papers and ribbon and all I had to do was put adhesive on the backs of them.  She was pretty precise on the placement of things and of course she had to add the soccer balls on :)

and she even signed it!  Not bad for only being 3 :)

supplies:
Image - Motivet
Stickles
colored pencils
paper/ribbon - stash
soccer beads

Magnolia - Special Friend

I don't ever play with my magnolia stamps enough so last night while watching Survivor, I decided it was time to pull out one of my few (I know I need more ;)) Tilda's and colored her in.   I'm still working on my coloring technique with my copics but I think it still came out pretty cute :)  I did have a run-in with my yellow marker where it looked like colored water was coming out of it--grrrr!!  I've never used it so I have no clue what was up with that.

Here is the outside of the card:

This card has taken me two days to make.  I have been struggling with the crazy accordion flower and I can see that the stupid thing is coming apart again!  Does anyone have any good ideas how to keep those things together?

Supplies:

Victorine Originals - Any occasion card

Do you ever find that you need a card for something and you don't have the right one?  I do all the time, so I thought I'd make a card that could go for just about anything :)

I used Flower pot with birdhouse from Victorine Originals.  Instead of coloring in the flowers, I used my autumn shade/mix of flower soft.  I added some buttons and bling to give a little something but not too much and the DP is form Close to My Heart.  I have found though, that I really don't have any "fall" papers at all, so I guess I need to do some shopping LOL

Friend Card

I need to create a quick card for a friend tonight so I pulled out my Just because stamp set from one of the Close to My Heart promotions.  I love how elegant this set is and how you can make something really nice without having to do too much with it :)  The paper I used was Perfect Day which is also from Close to My Heart.

Inky Impressions - Sweet little girl frame

My husband's birthday is on the 19th of this month and Abby wanted to make him something.  I let her go through my stuff and she decided to make a frame.  She painted it and from there I too over :)  I used Angelica's bunny hugs from Inky Impressions; I just LOVE these stamps cause they are so cute!!

For the rest of the frame all did was add some ribbon around a couple of corners and some flowers with bling on the remaining one.

CC Designs - Thinking of your Card

i sat down tonight and created some cards for another round in the More than Paper Shoes forum swap that is ending soon.  I wanted something that was sweet and had the "thinking of you" look to it, so I pulled out my Swiss Pixies stamp "Heidi Among the Flowers".  She looked so innocent and had the look I was going for.

The paper and cardstock is from Close to My Heart, ribbon and flowers are from my stash and I added some dew drops to the centers of the flowers.  The sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card

A sad day in our household

Today is a very sad day at our house.  We had to put our 9 year old bichon down tonight.  Gus was always very sickly and today we found he had some more issues wrong with him, that financially we just couldn't afford.  In the end the Vet said it was best for him to do this :(   We will miss him very much and the house already feels so different without him.

Here is a picture of Abby with Gus last Christmas

Love Card

Over on the More Paper Than Shoes Forum, there is a handmade card swap that I joined in.  One of the categories was "love".  I had fun creating this card because I was able to use one of my Close to My Heart stamps that I haven't used in awhile.  The stamp set was from the Key to My Heart Promotion that they had last year.

if you look closely you can see that there is some glitter on some parts of the flourish and there is string to hang the hearts off of it.   Here is what the sentiment on inside of the card says:

The Greeting Farm - Pirate kind of love

I've been wanting to use of the stamps that I have in my stash that have never been used and believe me when I say that is a bunch :/  So for today's card I pulled out "Matey" from The Greeting Farm.  I originally only had Ian colored in but little Miss Anya was calling to me as well :)

Here is the outcome of  it:

The card is a zig-zag card and was pretty easy to make.  I found the template here.

Victorine Originals - Precious Moments

like these are so special and need to be cherished forever.   I made for no particular occasion so I left the sentiment off so that way I could customize it when needed (I tend to do this a lot).  The image used was Children Playing and can be found here in the Victorine Originals store.

Happy Halloween

Today is my first post for Victorine Originals.  When I got my package in the mail I couldn't wait to get home and start using them :)  There is something for every occasion and for any style that I'm sure you will be able to find something in the store :)

Today's card uses "Witch with Cauldron" and can be found here...the best part, if you hurry now you can get her for 50% off!!!  That's right for as low as $2.25 she could be yours!

I don't know what the papers because they were something I pull out of my scraps. :)

More Paper Than Shoes Guest Designer

I have been a fan of Anna and Kindra's for awhile now so when Anna asked me to be a Guest Designer over at the More Paper than Shoes blog for the Month of October, I couldn't say no :)  The girls are such an awesome group and we all have a blast in the More Paper Than Shoes forum where I am charge of the Card Making Creative Team (and you must come over and join us ;).

On the MPTS blog this month they have two challenges going on in case you don't celebrate Halloween.  For me Halloween and Christmas are the two funnest holidays especially now that Abby is starting to really enjoy them :) Brian tends to take Halloween decorating to the extreme so at least I don't have to worry about doing it LOL

For my project today I used my new witch stamp from CC Designs and the new background stamp from them as well.  I had fun making this card and it came together very nicely.  I must admit though at first it wasn't meant to be an easel card but the image was way too big for a 6x6 card and so out comes the easel LOL

Great News!!!

After having to take some time off for family and prioritizing things, I can happily say that I that I am back!!  And with coming back I have some great news to share with all of you!!

First, I have been selected by Melanie to be part of the Critter Sketch Challenge DT (again LOL)

Secondly, I was contacted by Vicki at Victorine Originals and I am excited to say that I am now a member of her design team :)

and lastly (yes this it), I am the Guest Designer for the More Paper Than Shoes blog this moment.

So with all of this, I can't wait to get started and sharing things with all of you.
