Birthday Invites

A girl at work had asked me awhile back if I would create her daughter's birthday party invites, of course I said yes.  Well she told  me last week that she needed them this week to get out in the mail and she wanted 12 of them--OMG!!  She had no clue what she wanted so I created one and got the "ok" to go ahead with the others.

Since her daughter is born in August and she's doing a pool party, I went with the Popsicle shaped cards and used one of the Bugaboo Brats-Isabella at the beach image.  Of course the colors had to be girlie and I added some glitter as well.  It took me all weekend to get the coloring done (in between everything else) and I assembled them all last night.

and here is a close up of a couple of them to see the image better.

Crafty Emma DT Call

Crafty Emma is having a DT and now is the chance to get over there and put your name down for consideration.  They have a bunch of awesome stuff in their store that you just can't pass up :)

Sweet Summertime Challenge-Bugaboo

Today is the start  to our latest challenge at the Catch The Bug Blog for Bugaboo Stamps!  The theme for today is Sweet Sweet Summertime!  We also have a special surprise for you today :)
In addition to  the normal ways to win with us,  this week you will also have a chance to win a $10 gift certificate for their store.

TCCstore banner

Participate in the challenge for a chance to win the following prizes:

1st prize - 7 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
2nd prize - 4 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
3rd prize - 2 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice

Today my card features one of the Bugaboo Brats-Isabella at the beach.   I was hired to create 12 birthday invites with a beach theme and this is what I came up with for the sample to show her.  For the others I'm going to add some glitter and probably emboss the purple but the good thing is she liked them :)

For my second card I used the beautiful beach scene supplied by The Character Cafe.

Think Ink #25

This week your challenge is brought to you by DT Member, Marti Wills, and she wants you to:
-->Make your own background paper or use a special background technique.
I used a couple sets to make my card.   The swirls for my background is from the Sew You set and the ice cream is from the  Spot on Summer.
I added a little glitter for the cherry and there you have a very cute and quick card.  This set would be perfect to use if you had to  make a quick set of cards.  I really love both of these sets :)

New release day at Bugaboo!!!

When I sat down to create this one, I had something already in mind.  Now that it's all finished I can honestly say it doesn't look like anything I had pictured it would.  So what do you do with a card  your not 100% satisfied with??? You post it for everyone to see LOL

With that all being said, Jodie has some awesome Turtles for you today so make sure you hop on over to store and pick a few or all them up =)

For you card

I wanted to create a cute but masculine card so I pulled out my Motivet images and decided to use Eddie.  He just too cute and who can't resist a dog?? :)

He is colored in with my copics and the papers are from Piggy Tales.  The sentiment was cut out with my Cricut.  I was very happy when the darn machine didn't tear up my paper, I have been battling with that thing for a long time now.  I really think it's my paper...hum, I think it's time to go shopping LOL

Abby's card

Abby sat down with the other day and created this card.  She of course had to do everything herself (with the exception of using the trimmer) LOL  The butterfly image is from Bugaboo Stamps.

Superhero Card

This is another image that has been colored in for a while and I actually knew what I wanted to do but just haven't done it.  Well last night I had five hours to myself and was able to finally get the card done :)  I don't have a sentiment on it cause I thought it could customized to any occasion for a little boy.

This card was used in the Totally Stampalious challenge to use a touch of red

Tag Challenge at More Paper than Shoes

This isn't a new item but I liked it so much that I resurrected it for the More Paper than Shoes tag challenge.    The sock monkey image is from Bugaboo and the foam letter/number is from Close to My Heart.  I don't remember who the paper is from :(

Jodi's birthday candy

It's Jodi's birthday and she is giving away 5 different "candies".  You still have plenty of time to get your name in if you haven't,, so hop on over to blog and check out the goodies :)

Elegrant Card

When I saw the "Sew You" set from Artful Inkables, I was taken with how elegant the set is.   So tonight when I sat down to create my card, I wanted something that was going to be elegant and I knew exactly what papers I wanted to use (Silhouette from Close to my Heart).   The edges of the image is inked with vanilla cream ink from Close to my Heart.

Christmas in July Challenge

Welcome to our latest challenge!   I know it's hard to think of Christmas when the temperatures outside are around 90 degrees but that's what we're doing today :)   Jodie has a ton of awesome Christmas images that even if you aren't in the Christmas spirit, you are going to have a blast coloring them in LOL

Bugaboo also has a sponsor this time around too....Bizzy Becs.  As always you have a chance to win up to 7 images from Bugaboo but this time around you also have a chance to win a $30 goodie basket with items based on your taste.

My card today using Christmas Mouse and she is holding a mistletoe.  I just love these little mice images :)  The papers are from Imaginsice,  You can also see on the flower that there is a little bell, I've had these for awhile now and new this card was perfect for one :)

My second card for you today using an image from Bizzy Bec's.  This little girl is just too cute!  I paired  her up with some girlie paper I've had for a little while from Imaginisce with a matching chipboard tag.  Her shirt has sparkles added to it cause what girl doesn't love her bling LOL

Now hop on over to the other girls blogs and see what they have for you today and don't forget to go the challenge blog to enter your card!

Your Next Stamp DT Call

Have you seen Your Next Stamp??? They're stamps are way too cute to not try, I'm definitely going to be adding more of these to my collection ;)

So anyway, I am going to try out for their design team and one of the requirements is to post about it on our blogs and to include a picture of what we consider our best work.

Artful INKables Think Ink #24

I can't believe it's Friday already, where did this week go???  It sure is hard going back to work after being on vacation for almost two weeks but the one go thing is it was a short week :) I'm sorry I've been MIA all week but I've been busy working on another project and that has taken me away from card making/blogging for just a little bit.  Now that I've got that under control, I'll be posting more the next few days!

For today's card I used the flower vine and saying from Spot on Summer to create this very simple card.  The card is also for this Think Ink Challenge which is to use sewing on your card, either faux or real stitching.  I've yet to take out my mini sewing machine so faux it is :)   I really like the simplicity of this card and the soft colors of it.

There is still plenty of time to join into the challenge for a chance to win a grab bag of AI stamps and if you use an AI stamp on your creation, you will get 2 entries!

Hurry on over to the Artful INKables blog to join in!!

Thinking of you card

Over at the More than Paper Shoes Forum one of the challenges for the month of July is a color block one.  July's color block challenge is to use orange, yellow, and red on your creation.  I knew I had to sit down and tackle this one because usually I stay away from this combination (not my favorite colors).   I went straight for my CC Design images and pulled out the ladybug and fence and the card came together from there.  I didn't add too many embellishments cause the image was busy on it's own but it's still a pretty cute card and I already know the perfect person for it :)

Here is a close up of the image:
