Baby Wipe Tutorial

If you are here for the Artful INKables or Catch the Bug blog hop, please see scroll down!

Today is Wednesday and that means it's Tutorial Day over at Bugaboo Stamps.  Today I am going to show you how to do the baby wipe technique.  Now if you have never tried this, you need to right now cause it gives you an awesome affect :)

Supplies:

Baby Wipe
Two or Three re-inkers
Craft Sheet or paper plate
Solid Stamp
Neutral cardstock

Step 1:

Fold the baby wipe in half, then fold again.  Place on a craft sheet or paper plate. (sorry no picture for this step, it's pretty self-explanatory anyway)

Step 2:

Starting with the darkest color of re-inker, start adding drops of it on the baby wipe (in the next few steps you will see I did it backwards but it still came out, so if you "mess" up don't worry about it LOL)

Step 3:

With the second re-inker, add more drops to the wipe

Step 4:

With the lightest colored re-inker, fill in all the white spaces you have left on the baby wipe.

Stamp 5:

Ink up the stamp using this makeshift inkpad and stamp on the cardstock.

And here is the final project using the stamped images.

Now let's see what you come up with!

Artful INKables Eclipse Blog Hop

Welcome to our Customer and Design Team Twilight Artful INKables blog hop! Make sure you start at the Artful INKables Blog, so you don't miss a single thing!

To celebrate the release of ECLIPSE today, we're highlighting the Artful INKables Twilight inspired sets: Into the Moonlight, Fictionally Inspired and Epic Tales. Artful INKables also has a set of Vampire Romance Themed Charms available!

For the blog hop today I created this sketch book using the Into the Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired Sets.  I've had this book laying around for awhile now and didn't quite know what I wanted to do with it, until now.  Sometimes when I'm out and about and I can get an idea in my head I have to scramble around for a piece of paper, well this book is perfect for that!  It is loaded with heavy blank pieces of CS to sketch on so now I'll never run into that problem again (well unless I leave it at home LOL)

Wow does that wolf look dark :)  If this layout looks a little familiar, it's because it is.  Last week I created this long notebook using the exact same layout/images.  I liked it so much I had to do it again LOL

The next stop on the hop is Dawn Knight.  Hop on over to her blog to see what she has created for you today!

In case you get lost along the way, here’s the order of the hop (I have included the names and blog address for each person, please set the list up to link to all of the people included):

Kenny K's Kraty Girlz Golfer freebie

This month Kenny K's has this really cool freebie so I knew I had to create something with him :)  Once again he's been colored in for a while but I wanted to find the right papers for it.  So last night when my mojo was on high gear, I created this card.  Nothing fancy but I love it!

Beach Babe

I like how this card turned out.  I've had the sand castle for a long time now and totally forgot all about it until I was looking for my golf stickers (see next post).  Once I saw it I knew what I wanted to use it with and here is the card:

This card was entered in the following challenge:

Circus Elephant

Tomorrow we're heading to Circus Smirkus so I made this card in honor of that.  Circus Smirkus doesn't have any animals in it, it's a bunch of kids from all around the world that get together for two weeks to practice and then tour around New England.  If they come anywhere near you I HIGHLY recommend going to see them.  We went last year and they were AWESOME!! It's become a tradition in our household now and it's all Abby talks about :)

Isn't she cute???

I've had this girl colored in forever!!  I guess I just didn't know what I wanted to do with her afterwards :/     Well here she is looking all too cute with her baby :)

Picnic Tilda (Magnolia Stamps)

I've finally have fallen for Magnolia stamps :)  This is one that I have had colored in for a couple weeks now and just didn't know what I was going to do with her (plus I needed to find the right papers to use with her).  I had originally started out wanting to put a tree behind her but I wasn't liking the way it looked so I left it off (after playing with a different image).

The image used was "Picnic Tilda" and "Picnic blanket", both of them can be found at Magnolia-licious.  The papers I used were from my scrap pile so I don't know who they are from.

Lil' Fireman

I've had so many images colored in just laying around that my goal is to get them onto cards.  Now these cards may not have a lot of "frill" to them but lately I've been liking the simpleness on cards.

Abby's card

It was a wet and rainy day today so we were stuck in side all day :(  After hours of torturing Daddy with playing with dolls, etc I let Abby play at my table.  She was pretty excited to be able to pick everything out and assemble my "mother's day" card (she seems to be stuck on this holiday LOL).

She picked out one of my Sweet Pea Stamps to color in and the papers were from my scrap pile.  Of course what girl can't resist putting flowers on her card =)

Challenge/Blog Hop Time

Welcome to another blog hop/challenge from Bugaboo Stamps.  This week's challenge is "Love is in the Air", you can make anything that is associated with love...weddings, anniversary, a love note, etc.  It's totally up to you.

I created this cute little card using the Monkey with single rose image (one of the first images from Bugaboo).

This is the line up for the hop and don't forget to participate in the challenge because you have a chance to win up to 7 images of your choice from the Store.  Now hop on over to Melissa's blog and see what she has created for you today!

Freebie Friday

It's Friday and you know what that mean's, another freebie from Bugaboo Stamps!!  This image is really elegant and is a little different than what Jodie usually has for you but I think You're going to love it--I know I did!!

Think INK challenge (Artful INKables)

This week's challenge over at Artful INKables was to create anything but a card and to use the colors red, white and blue.  When I sat down to create this I totally forgot about the color aspect of the challenge and created the set that I posted yesterday.  So I had to make something else and this is what I ended up with:

I've been wanting to use my bind-it-all and since it's been awhile, I apparently squeezed the rings together to tightly--ugh!!  So this is going to be Abby's little notebook now :)

Mini notebook w/pen

I sat down this week to work on the current Think Ink challenge and after I got done with my project, I realized I messed up.  So since I messed up I posting the project tonight :)

The book and pen were covered with paper from Close to my heart.  The flowers are from the Post it Note set sold at Artful INKables.

Sorry the picture looks a little blue, I have no idea why it looks like that.  Until tomorrow have a nice night :)

Artful INKables

Happy Friday everyone!  Today's post will be combining two challenges.  The first one is the current Twilight challenge that is going on over at the Artful INKables blog which is to create a project for whatever team you are (i.e Team Edward, Team Jacob, Team Bella, Team Alice and so on).  The second challenge is this weeks Think Ink challenge which to challenge ourselves.

So onto the project.  I have had these long notepads forever and never could figure out what to do with them or even dared to try to use them.  For me this week, my challenge for myself was to pull one of these out and to FINALLY make something with it and as you can see I'm a Team Jacob gal :)  Although I could swing to Team Edward very easily LOL

and here is a close up of it

Now if we're talking about Trueblood, I am 110% Team Eric ;)  I enjoy seeing his bunners each week (well practically each week) LOL

Card Patterns Sketch #68 post #1

So as you can tell I've been busy.  I've had a bunch of images colored in for a while now and finally have had some time to get them onto cards.  I got tired of working with the Mojo Monday challenge so I moved onto Card Patterns :)

Here is my first card of three for the night :)

Image if from Bugaboo Stamps

You guessed it...

another card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Image is flower block from Bugaboo Stamps

Another one for Mojo Monday

I started out thinking I liked this sketch and that it would be easy well the more I used it the more I decided, I don't like it (well maybe just the cards I created using it).

So here is one of two cards for today:

Bugaboo Stamps New Release Day

Jodie has some really cute images for you today.  I chose this cute little strawberry sunbonnet girl cause she was too adorable and I just love all of the sunbonnet images.  The card was made pretty quickly as the paper had a really nice design to it and I didn't want to take away from it.

Make sure you check out the store to see all of the other cute images Jodie has for you today.

They say....

rain on the day of a wedding brings good luck, well our friends Dean and Corrie will have a bunch of it :)  It is such a dreary, rainy day but they will be sunshine shining down on everyone during the ceremony.  Well the procrastonator in me waited until this morning to make the card for this afternoon but I LOVE the outcome of the card.  The stamps are from the Key to My Heart set that was promotion through Close to My Heart last year.

Here is a side view of the card so you can see the details:

Show us your colors Challenge

he 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa begins on 06/11/2010 and ends on 07/11/2010. The official website is here. The World Cup is only held once every four years and is the world's premier soccer event.
Since we have a lot of international followers (Germany, The Netherlands, South Africa, Greece, Malta, etc) and an international DT (US, UK/Wales, Australia, and Canada), we thought it'd be fun to have sponsor a challenge where people make either a card or project that features:
  • the team colors of the country that he/she wants to win the World Cup
  • the colors of his/her national flag
  • the colors of his/favorite sports team (i.e. silver & blue for the Dallas Cowboys)
Participate in the challenge for a chance to win the following prizes:
    • 1st prize - 7 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
    • 2nd prize - 4 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
    • 3rd prize - 2 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice

Head on over to the challenge blog for all the details!

Artful INKables

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Today's card is for this week's Twlight Challenge which is to use the colors of the books (black, red, white).  I didn't want to use the typical Twilight images so I went with this beautiful flower envelope from Just a note.  As for the paper, I've had this sheet laying around and didn't have any idea what I was going to use it with and then I had that "aha" moment and this is what I ended up with.

Well off to make a wedding card for tomorrow, I will post pictures when I'm done.  I'm hoping to get a few cards made this weekend since we finally finished Season 2 of Trueblood :)

Gift card holder

or for those small gifts that other bags seem too big for.  I created this over the weekend and just barely got the chance to post it.  The stamp set used for this was Happy Endings from Artful INKables. I used my Cricut to make the bag with my Boxes, Tags and More cartridge and made the bag 5 1/2''.

Artful Inkables

This week's challenge over on the Artful Inkables blog is to create something with Pockets.  Kristin now has an awesome pocket themed set that would be perfect for this but if you don't have it there are still plenty of options available.
The set I used for my card is Aquatic Fantasy.  I placed glitter on her tail to give her some sparkle and added a few flowers.  The inside of the card is where I placed the "Pocket" so that you can place a gift card or as seen here some money.
Now let's see what you can do, get your card/project done and linked to the blog and you can win some awesome stamps from Artful Inkables.
