Think Ink Challenge #19

This week your challenge is brought to you by Alicia Ekermans, and she issued a MAKEOVER CHALLENGE: CHOOSE AN OLDER CARD/PROJECT and REMAKE IT

The card I chose to do over was the one I created for the paint chip challenge.  I really didn't like how that turned out and actually ditched it :(

Here is my original card, it used the pawn image from "Into the Moonlight"

Now here is my makeover card.  I used Peacock Pagentry set.  I really like how this one turned out this time.  I love the simplicity of it and yet it's very elegant.

Card Pattern Sketch 61-Entry #2

Here is my second card for this weeks Card Pattern Sketch.  This one uses Skelekinz-I miss you from Bugaboo Stamps.  I also decided to go simple with this one as I didn't want to take away from the image.

Card Pattern Sketch 61-Entry #1

This first card was created using Flower Ducky from Bugaboo stamps and sketch #61 from Card Patterns.   I kept the simple and just added a small sentiment to it.

One happy girl...

As you can tell Abby is very happy to have her own adhesive gun LOL  She always wants to play with my ATG but it so big and bulky it is hard for her to maneuver it around.  I was cleaning out my area when I saw that I had the glider pro "gun" so I went out and a refill for it since it would be easier for her to use.  Right off Abby wanted to get some paper and start gluing things together and then she wouldn't give it up, she even wanted to take it to bed with her LOL

Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring Totally Papercrafts

p
Totally Papercraft's challenge this week is being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and we are to use the following recipe:
4 embellishments
3 papers
2 ribbons/lace
1 image
This was a pretty fun challenge to take on and I hope you do too.  By playing along you will be put in for a drawing to win 7 free digis from Bugaboo, so hop on over to the Totally Papercrafts blog and submit your card!  Don't forget to leave some love for the other Guest DT and regular DT members while you are there :)

Artful INKables

Today's card features three different sets from Artful INKables.  When I received the Peacock Pagentry background image, I had no clue what I was going to do with it so it's just been sitting on my table.  Then out of the blue, I had an idea for the perfect card using this set and others.

First I took hollyhock ink and stamped the background image on white and then adhered it to hollyhock cardstock.  I then used my nestabilities and cut out two different size die cuts (one in hollyhock and one in white).  I then took the feathers from Into the Moonlight and the saying from Fictionally Inspired, added some ribbon and bling and you get this very simple but pretty card :)

Don't forget to head over to the blog and take part in this week's Think Ink Challenge using a paint swatch--definitely will challenge you :)  You get a chance to win some awesome stamps!

Artful INKables April Flowers blog hop

-->
Welcome to the Artful INKables blog hop! We are celebrating the fabulous month of April with some amazing April flowers  the Artful INKables way!
If you haven’t come here from
-->Alicia’s Blog, be sure to hop on over to the Artful INKables Blog, you don’t want to miss anything for today’s hop!
For today's post I used an image from the Post A Note stamp set found here.  I printed out the image three different times and colored two sets of the flowers.  I then figured out which one's I wanted to pop up and went from there.  The bottom set is actually raised up twice so you have three layers.  I looked through my new stash of Piggy Tales papers and found this one designer paper that seemed like it matched the vines on the flowers perfectly.

Make sure to comment on every one's blog, because one lucky commenter will win a $10.00 gift certificate to spend at the Artful INKables store!  Please leave your comments by Friday, April 23rd, 12 midnight Eastern Standard Time, one lucky winner will be chosen on Saturday, April 24th.
Thank you for participating in today’s blog hop, now hop on over to Michelle’s blog, you will love everything you see today!

The Winner of the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff blog hop...

is lucky commentor #13, Anonymous-Tamara; You are getting the awesome Puddle fun set created by Lindsay.  Enjoy your set!!

Custom Portrait drawn by Victoria Case

I know it's way too early to be thinking about Father's Day but I had to get a start on it since I wasn't sure how long it would take.  I wanted to give Brian something that he wouldn't ever expect and of course he has no clue who Victoria Case is so I knew I was on the right track LOL  I contacted Victoria on Wednesday about drawing up a sketch of Abby and what you see is the final copy that will be mailed out today/tomorrow.
I am amazed at how much it does look like Abby and how it captured her personality (and chubby checks) perfectly.  Brian is a huge Philadelphia Eagles Fan so when Victoria said she put Abby in the Eagles shirt, I knew Brian would LOVE it!

I of course can't keep a secret so I showed Brian today and he is VERY excited to get it this week.

Anything But a Card (ABaC)

Monday's over at the Catch the Bug Challenge blog is Anything But a Card.  Now I"m sure you're like me and have a ton of images on your computer and probably only print them out as you need them.  So I wanted to create something where I can print out a bunch of Bugaboo images and have them right at my fingertips.  This cute little box serves that purpose.  I didn't go overboard on embellishing because I have a small space and things get a little cramped sometimes.  I put the cute little Cocoa Christmars mouse that I've had colored in for the longest time and never did anything with on the top.  Added a flower for a knob and there you have it :)

Critter Sketch Challenge #10

Since this is the tenth challenge, Melanie thought it would be fun for us to create a project using just ten items.  Now that seems pretty easy but when you want to add one more dew drop or something you can't :)

So here is my card.  For some reason it's looks pretty bright but it really isn't that way in person.

1 Image (Isabella sitting from Bugaboo Stamps, sitting on a swing from CC designs--digitally edited)
1 cardstock (the darker blue is just the reverse of the patterned paper so I didn't count it LOL)
1 ribbon
2 flowers
I patterned paper
3 dew drops
1 sentiment ("Spotlight" stamp set from The Greeting Farm)

Now let's see what you can do, head over to the Challenge blog and submit your entry.

Who doesn't love a cowboy....

especially when he looks like this? ;)  This image is from Victoria Case and can be found here.  I just love her images and how vesitle they are.  I'm actually having her draw up a picture of Abby to give to Brian for Father's Day, the sketches I've seen so far are awesome and I can't wait to see the finished product.

Hula Lili

Last week I received my shipment of stamps from Inky Impressions and couldn't wait to play with them.  I really couldn't decide which one to ink up first so I let Abby decide and she choose "Hula Lili".    I kept the card simple with only one designer paper but added the layer of four flowers with the bow and a palm tree charm hanging from it.

Masculine Card

After Friday's post I knew I wanted to create another card using the Into the Moonlight set because I wasn't "feeling" that one.  So today during nap time I sat down and made this one.  Each month I receive a kit in the month from Annie's Attic and up until today I haven't touched them.  They gave directions to make this card using an car stamp and everything :)

I really liked how this one turned out and I will tell you I'm glad to see my mojo back :)

Note:  The image looks shiny but it really isn't, I think it's just the glare off the ink.

Do you love Victoria Case images???

Then come join me in this brand new yahoo where we can all get together and share our creations using her stamps/images and just have some fun.   Make sure you pass this along to your friends :)

The Greeting Farm Thursday Challenge

This is the first week for The Greeting Farm's Thursday's Scrapbook challenges and it was to create a page using Greeting Farm stamps only (logically LOL).   I had origianlly made this last week for the Team challenge but it wasn't used and has been sitting on my desk so I thought it would be perfect for this and I'm happy to be able to show you all finally.
This is a picture of Abby when she was 10 months old dressed up as a Koala bear for Halloween.  Don't you just want to pinch those cheeks :)

Artful INKables/Think INK post

My post today is a card I made for this week's Think INK challenge which there is still plenty of time to join.  The challenge this week was issued by Jackie and it was to use a color swatch on the card.  Now this was definitely a challenge for me as I had no clue what I was going to do.
I ended up taking the pawn from the "Into the Moonlight" set from Artful INKables, stamped that on the swatch added some dew drops and ribbon, then mounted it on my card base.  I'm not too sure about it (kind of seems like the norm lately) but I'm hoping to have more time to play this weekend as the painting is finally done! (We painted our bedroom where my craft stuff is).
So check back this weekend as I should have more stuff for you :)

Catch the Bug Challenge/Blog Hop

Welcome to another awesome challenge at Catch the bug.  This time around you are to use a bug...image, paper, embellishment, whatever you like just as long as there is a bug on there :)   You should have arrived from Scrappy's blog, isn't she just awesome??  Now I have two projects to share with you today.

First is one using the Ladybug Bug Jar.  The papers I used are some that I got free from Piggy Tales.  For some reason I couldn't pull this one together and this is what I ended up with--yuk!!!

So since I hated this first one, I thought I'd give it another shot and used the Bugaboo Brats bug-snail image.  The tree stump is from CC Designs (found at All that Scraps) and the papers are once again from the free pile that I got from Piggy Tales.

If you're saying to yourself "I don't have any bugs laying around my craft room, well guess what this is just one of the awesome "bugs" you can find at the store!!  If you click on her, you will be brought right to the section where she can be found along with all the other adorable bugs---which I desperately need all of them :)

Now it's time to make your way to Melissa's blog and she what she created for you today!  If you get lost along the way you can go back to the Catch the Bug blog and find your spot.

So goodbye yellow brick road....

Where the dogs of society howl, You can't plant me in your penthouse, I'm going back to my plough.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite songs from Elton John.  When Lindsay asked the design team to create a card using a song as our inspiration, I really didn't know what I was going to do.  So I started going through the images and when I saw this one from Funky Forest, I couldn't stop singing that song.  I then googled it and saw the album cover and I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

So using the colors from this picture:

 and made this acetate card:

The card was actually pretty simple.  The acetate was a piece of printed 12x12 that I got in a kit and really had no idea what I was going to use it for.  I added the image on the back of the cover so it was showing through the front and then added a couple rub-ons.

Easy peasy :)  Now hop over to the other DT members and see what they have for you today.

Critter Sketch Challenge #8

Wow it is so hard to believe that we are already up to Challenge #8, where did the time go?
So this week the challenge was to follow this sketch and to use gingham somewhere on the card, whether it was paper, ribbon or on the image itself.  It is totally up to you but it has to be present :)

this was the sketch:

and here is my card, it uses Pretty from Victoria Case:
