It's New Release Day at Bugaboo

and Jodie has once again created some more very cool images.  The one I choose to show for you today is Jesse Bear Angel, isn't he too cute for words?? :)  I created a little treat/goodie box that would be perfect for a baby shower or welcome baby gift.  Once again I used Cheryl's great tutorial on how to make bows, they are SO cool and easy to do (but they still aren't as good as her's).

Battle Royal at The Greeting Farm---PLEASE VOTE!!

I am on a team to battle each week amongst other great teams to win an awesome stamp set.  I'm posting this to ask for your vote on our card!  The teams with the most votes will move forward next week.

Here is the card we made, the theme was retro and to use the inspiration that they had on their blog (pink, brown/tan, blue).

You will have to register to vote but PLEASE do, we really want to win the stamp set :)

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

For this week, Lindsay wanted us to make anything but a card.  I've had this die from Sizzix for quite a while now and never used it so I decided to pull it out and use it.  The rattle images and the welcome baby banner are from the Babies and Bows set which can be found here.   Also the bow is made using the tutorial by Cheryl Walker, her bows are just awesome!!  The tutorial can be found here.

Fairy Lili card--Jackie R. NO PEEKING!!!

Every month over at the Inky Impressions yahoo group, we participate in a mingle.  For this month we were to create a thinking of you/hello card for our partner.  I was partnered up with Jackie and decided to use Fairy Lili, isn't she cute??  I didn't put a sentiment on it cause I figured Jackie could customize it for whatever she wanted to use it for...how's that for recycling? :)

I hope she likes it :)

Bugaboo Stamps Color Challenge

If you're making the rounds of the Bugaboo Stamps DT for the color challenges this morning, then you've probably arrived here from Jodie's blog.

If you're up for a challenge, make and post a project using the colors coral, kiwi, and banana to Catch the Bug by 04/03/2010 at 7:00 AM EST. You could win one of three prizes - seven, four, or two free digital images - just for entering your URL via Mister Linky on our challenge blog.

But enough about that. . .Let's talk about someone else for a change. Oh, I don't know. . .someone like . . .

You guessed it! :D We're thrilled to announce that Cammy Wall agreed to bring her awesome talent, extrordinary creativity, and extreme passion for paper crafting to Bugaboo Stamps and Catch the Bug! Cammy be joining the DT effective 04/01/2010, and we can't wait for you to see all of the wonderful things that Cammy has in store! If you want a sneaky-peeky poo, check out Cammy' blog, Pink Room Therapy - Some of my favorite projects are here, here, and here. And, if you want to know a little bit more about Cammy, read below:

Cammy Wall

What do you like to do when you are not stamping/creating cards?I'm usually chasing after my kids.  My daughter is 4.5 and my son is 2.75.  They definitely keep me on my toes.  When they are not around or are asleep, I love Law & Order (all of them), NCIS (both) and to change things up, Sex & The City.  In the summer, I do my fair share of gardening (aka weed killing) & swimming.
How would you describe your style?Oh, boy....hmmm...I think clean is most accurate, but not CAS.  Everything has to have its own place & the right place.  I'm definitely not a speedy stamper!
What craft supply could you not live without?Only one -- definitely my Cuttlebug.  Between the embossing folders and my Nesties, it is rare that I create a card without one of them.  Close runner-up would be my Copics.
What are three words that describe you best?
Dedicated, thoughtful, creative (Is that cheating?  LOL!  I hear that all the time though -- Oh, you are so creative.)
What’s the best advice that you can give to someone that wants to be on a design team?Don't be discouraged if you apply and are not picked.  It takes time and it needs to be the right fit.  Think outside the box as well with your projects -- show them how truly creative you are.  :)

When you've finished here, off you go to Rae Anne's blog and whatever news she might have for you there. . .;) In fact, why don't you visit all the blogs of the Bugaboo Stamps DT, see what's (or who's) new there, jot it down, and send it in an e-mail to tsmiller@insightbb.com. If you'll do that, we'll add your name to the pot for an additional prize drawing!!!

Today marks another post for Artful INKables and I had to share this card I made using Berry Picking.  This set is so adorble and so verstatile....you could make the berries flowers even :)

I'm sorry about the quality of the picture. I took it with my phone this morning as I was running out the door to head to work.  I will put a better quality one later on tonight so you can see it clearly.

Happy Friday everyone!

EDITED: I have updated the picture, so hopefully you can see it better :)  Note to self, don't try to take a picture when you're running late for work LOL

Twilight Layout

Kristin is attending a convention this weekend and wanted to showcase how well the stamps can be used on a layout, so she asked the DT if we could help out since she didn't have time do them all herself.  Well, since I am one of these people who will always step up to help someone, I couldn't say no.

My layout used the new Epic Tales set that can be found at the Artful INKables store and some scraps that I had laying around.  I hope you enjoy it :)

Are you ready for Easter?

I think I am :)  I finally got Abby's Easter basket stuff over the weekend and now it just needs to be assembled.  This week Lindsay asked the Design Team to create an Easter Project.  I had learned how to make pixie stix holders a couple weeks ago and wanted to make some more.

I found some "spring-y" paper in my stash and used the little duck from the Cute Easter set and this is what I cam up.  Of course, I couldn't find any pixie stix so I used some of Abby's candy.  They came out pretty darn cute :)

Critter Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to our 6th Critter Challenge. This week is an inspiration challenge. First let me introduce you again to our sponsor for the month, Paper Jewels. At the end of the month we'll be celebrating with a blog hop with Paper Jewels and will be giving away a ton of give a ways. So join us next Monday for an "Egg"stra Special Blog Hop.
Also please note that our weekly challenge for next week will be posting on Sunday instead of Monday. Monday we will have our blog hop. However you will still have all week to participate in the challenge.
So on to this weeks challenge. My family and I are huge Disney buffs. We used to go 2-3 times a year. Since having kiddos we have cut those trips back but I'm still a huge Disney fan. My favorite character is, you guessed it, DONALD DUCK!! So on to this weeks challenge.
Create a card using only the colors in this image. You can use any vendor products but of course if you have any Paper Jewel images we would love to see them.

It's your birthday....

Actually it's Artful INKables second birthday and it's all about celebrating.  It's also my very first post as a member of their design team and I can not be any more excited.  If you have never seen AI's stamps, I HIGHLY recommend you buy at least one set (I know there are some Twilight fans out there, well Kristin has two sets based on the Twilight Series) and try them out...you WILL NOT be disappointed!  The stamps come in an awesome slim case for easy store (a huge benefit for me), already mounted on rubber (just cut away) and when you stamp, the images are always clean and clear!!  What more can you ask for??  (If you're thinking, low prices well guess what you can get most, if not all stamps for under $20!!!)

This weeks Think Ink challenge was to make a creation with a birthday theme.  I used one of the cakes from Birthday Best.  I loved the look of this cake and all I can think of while coloring it in was that it looked like something Buddy from Carlo's Bakery would make....so I went elegant (just like Buddy).  What do you think?

I can't believe I almost forgot to tell you all.  Last week Piggy Tales was having a comment contest on their blog where the winner can win a $100 gift certificate to their store. Since I LOVE their papers I figured I give a shot.....well this morning I work up to find out that I WON!!!!  Now what a perfect way to start out the day.  I just love the quality of their papers and now I get to go on this awesome shopping spree!

Now to put this perspective...that is 125 sheets of paper!!  who wouldn't be excited :)

All right, now I'm off to bed but make sure you all come back tomorrow it's my first post for Artful INKables and I have a very cool card :)

Oldie But Goodie

Thursday's mark "Oldie but Goodie" day at Bugaboo.  Now none of Jodie's images are really "old" but there are some out there that need some more love since all of the great images she keeps releasing each week.  This one is Skelekinz baby, isn't she a doll.  I've had her colored in for so long waiting for just the right time and when I saw the Crafty Ho's Challenge this week, I knew she was going to be used.

This week the challenge is Black and Pink, what do you think???

Make sure you come back tomorrow cause it will be my first post with Artful Inkables!  In the meantime hop on over to the blog and take part in this week's challenge!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

 Happy Monday!

This week Lindsay challenged the team to make something with envelopes.  At first I really didn't know what I was going to do but then came up with this idea.  I probably should've attached each of them together as well as to the front and back of the chipboard but I'll definitely remember that for next time.

This cute little "case" can hold gift cards, little 3x3 cards w/envelopes, etc.  The image I used for this one was from Bird Branches and can be found here.

Make sure you check out what the other design team has created.

A quick post

I'm getting ready for bed so I thought I'd post this real quick.  Last night I went to a friend's Stampin Up! party and we made these three projects.  I can't even remember the last time I've gone to one of these but I can tell you something, I am LOVIN' the unmounted stamps and cases....I may be in trouble LOL

(ignore the baby monitor in the background LOL)

Abby's cards

Over the weekend, Abby stole some of my bugaboo images and attacked them with pens :)  So tonight we finally had a chance to sit down and put them on cards.  Since she's only 2 (well almost 3), I wanted something easy for her to assemble and the Die Cuts R Us Challenge from last week came to mind, here are four cards she made :)

New Release Day at Bugaboo!!

It's Tuesday again, which means it's another new release day at Bugaboo Stamps!  Once again Jodie has some FANTASTIC images for you today--doesn't she always!!  Along with the new releases, Jodie has put up some more Bugaboo Brats so if you haven't already grab them, get your butts over there now cause they are the cutest things!

I made two cards today using two of the three, yes I said three, new released images.

The first one uses a cute little music note angel

The second card uses the very cute rag doll image.

and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the camera to take a picture of this card without making the image look cock-eyed cause in person she's not on a slant--ugh!

Just a fun post

I wanted to share this picture of a leaf that Abby found on Saturday while playing on the ice.  It appears that the snow/ice melted around the leaf and it "fell" about an inch into it.  It looked really cool and Abby was very taken with it...yup that's her head in the way LOL

It's just one sign that spring is finally on it's way!

These next two pictures are Abby's first time out on the ice :)  She loved it so much she didn't want to get off.  I think we might have to put her in skating lessons next season as that is all she's been talking about LOL

Well good night, I'm off to go bury my nose in my book for a bit :)

Miss you card

Well it's Monday and time for another post for Lindsay's Stamp stuff.  This week Lindsay's theme was "stitches", so I knew I had to use Doodle Flowers found here.  Since I added so many different colors in the flower I wanted to go simple on the card so I didn't add any DP to it instead went with just cardstock.  I added faux stitching around the white cardstock to add just a little something :)  The flower is layered, with the middle being higher than the sides (3 layers total).

Also this week, the DT is saying good bye to Nettie and a very happy hello to our new DT member Jessica Hammond.  So when you're hopping around the DT"s blogs today make sure to give Jess a warm welcome :)

This first picture of Abby holding the card, she thought the card was beautiful and wanted to show it off :)

The second picture is a close up of the card.

Critter Sketch Monday

Wow can you believe that this already my third post of the day and the morning is just starting LOL  This week Melanie wanted the DT to create a project using Blue, Yellow and Green.  Well I knew exactly what I wanted to use for this challenge and it was already all colored in so the card came together rather quickly:)

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and it's one of the cute little Dino images that Jodie offers.  The papers are from Close to My Heart and everything was colored in with copics.  The card is also being used for This week's Pink Elephant Challenge.

Victoria Case blog candy!!

I just love Victoria Case stamps and wanted to share this blog candy that she offering.  If you already haven't check out her site cause she has some pretty cool stamps that you won't find anywhere else!

Here is the link to her blog candy has well

U Rock Card

This card was made using the Cute Skulls mini set from Bugaboo Stamps. The layout of the card was made using this week's Critter Sketch Challenge.  I didn't want to add a bunch of color to the card so on the background, the only colors used were black and red and then the sentiment were stickers from Piggy Tales.

Freebie Friday

Yes it's that time of the week again and Jodie has once again out done herself :)  This week you get THREE free images; one this darling little girl sock monkey, a really cute Easter Chick and the other is a beach bum frog.  Aren't they the cutest? and the best part is you have until next Friday to grab them before they're gone!  So what are you waiting for, get your butt over to the store and grab them up!!!

For my card today I choose the girl sock monkey and went very simple on the card.  I wanted to get the pink on her bands to stand out more and went with a very "girlie", yet simple theme.

Hello Birdie!!!

I can finally say that I am happy that last week is over! That is definitely the hardest time of the year for me and now life can get back to normal :)

For those that don't know, last week marked the two year anniversary of my mom's death and was also her birthday. She died unexpectedly two days after her 65th birthday.

With that I have great news to share with you but I can't until Thursday, so hold on tight...I know I'm still jumping! LOL

Anyway for this week, Lindsay wanted us to create something with a Nature/Outdoor theme and I knew right off that I wanted to use this little bird scene from the Pretty Primitive set found here. The papers are from my stash and thought it looked pretty cool with the back framing everything...what do ya think?
